Those Other Sites

Amazingly, some beer sites are just as good or *slightly* better than mine.
(Note to self; ask charm school for refund).

Here's what I wander around when not foxed by corporate firewalls:

Ratebeer - the site that got me involved in this damn fool activity of beerlovin' in the first place. It does what it says on the URL and so much, much more. Through the forums there, I've been able to meet up and share beers with some of the most likable, knowledgeable and charming beer bods in Europe. Oh, and Ian Harrison.

Beermad - a simple idea executed superbly; a database of every beer known to have been produced in the British Isles since about 1976. For the morning after the night before when you were sure you scored Butcome Stout the night before, this site helps you piece together those names and ABVs. And the e-mail stupidity section is one of the dang funniest things on the t'internet.

Quaffale - The yin of brewer to the yang of Beermad's beers. Wonderfully informative, clearly laid out, this site is positively tumescent with brewer-related gen.

** Sadly no more - for the time being at least. Here's hoping Rick decides to give it another go or passes the info over to someone else who's prepared to keep it going **

Scoopergen - What Gazza does when not bashing the world for even more beers. Possibly the most genuinely useful and entertaining beer site out there. Hellfire!

Maeib's Beer Blog - Only mentioned here as he occasionally says good things about me. Living proof that hailing from Northamptonshire doesn't have to lead to rampant inbreeding.

BEERmerchants.com - Who are kind enough to send me beers to try.
